Most people are less interested in becoming an architect than in employing one. This can be expensive, adding 10 to 20 percent to the total cost of construction, but the advantages of having an architect maybe well worth the price tag. An architect holds a degree certifying knowledge far beyond that of many engineers, and offers not only the creative home design and ability to execute this design, but also continual supervision throughout the project. The building process is a dynamic, evolutionary animal. Whatever do you mean? Understanding the construction process involves breaking it down into it’s basic phases. Each phase has many different parts that interact with the next or previous part. Sometimes rough-ins happen before framing and sometimes not - it ends up being project specific.
Pre-Design is when you are deciding to build a home. Some of the things to think about at this time is what style of home you want, how many bedrooms, baths, or if you want the laundry room on the same floor at the bedrooms.
